SVP of Stores Target

Cephas Williams serves as Senior Vice President of Stores for Target’s Midwest Region, leading more than 90,000 team members across 571 stores in 22 states. He oversees one of Target’s largest and most diverse store portfolios, where commerce and community intersect every day.

Since joining Target in 2009, Cephas has held leadership roles across field operations and headquarters, shaping how strategy comes to life inside the store. Most recently, as Vice President of Food & Beverage Store Operations, he strengthened leadership and operational discipline to elevate execution and enhance the guest experience in one of retail’s most dynamic categories.

Cephas believes stores are more than places to shop — they are spaces for connection. He focuses on building strong leaders and engaged teams who create welcoming environments, foster belonging, and ensure Target’s physical footprint remains a powerful driver of loyalty and growth.

He holds degrees from Nicholls State University and Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge. Cephas serves on the Board of Directors for Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners and resides in Minnesota with his wife and three children.
