Creighton Kiper is a transformative retail executive whose vision and leadership steered some of Walmart’s key merchandising divisions to their full potential.

As Senior Vice President of Home for Walmart U.S., Creighton is accelerating Walmart’s authority as a destination for home, helping democratize access to quality, on-trend home goods for Walmart’s 145 million weekly customers.

 

In this role, Creighton leads business and strategic initiatives for merchandising in stores and online to raise awareness and consideration for Walmart Home, focusing on style and transformation efforts to create a digital first and inclusive customer experience.

 

With a passion for problem solving, Creighton has a proven track record of guiding several successful turnaround efforts across various merchandising categories at Walmart. He is guided by the belief that proper diagnosis of a problem leads to fast and effective solutions, no matter how unconventional.

 

His progressive vision and bold, innovative strategies are reflected across Creighton’s contributions to Walmart over his tenure. Since joining in 2008, Creighton has held several leadership positions across Apparel, Home, Consumable and Food where he shaped meaningful transformation in assortment expansion, customer experience, digital initiatives and sustainability efforts.

 

Prior to leading the Walmart Home portfolio, Creighton served as Vice President of Beauty for Walmart U.S., driving an intentional strategy to evolve Walmart’s beauty assortment and customer experience to shift perception and grow Walmart’s authority in the industry. These efforts centered around democratizing beauty at Walmart through a more inclusive assortment while spearheading digital initiatives to meet Walmart customers how and where they want to shop. Under Creighton’s leadership, Walmart Beauty launched many game-changing prestige, DTC and indie brands including SpaceNK, Bubble and the Shop. He also launched Walmart’s own brand accelerator, Walmart Start, which incubated some of the newest innovative and inclusive brands in the market, including Paintlab, Dossier and the Hair Lab by Strands. His impact earned Walmart the honor of Mass Beauty Retailer of the Year at the 2022 Beauty Inc Awards, and in 2023, Creighton was recognized as WWD Beauty Retailer Person of the Year.

Previously, Creighton was the Vice President of Wellness OTC where under his leadership, Walmart launched the GNC brand and grew exclusive brands like Spring Valley to over $1 billion in annual revenue. He also oversaw the growth and incubation of many new DTC brands including Goli, Roman and Vital Proteins to grow Walmart’s footprint in the Wellness ecosystem.
